All the Stars Madelyn Cline Has Dated Over the Years

"Outer Banks" actor Madelyn Cline is climbing up the Hollywood ladder and showing no signs of slowing down. She was one of the newest additions to the Knives Out franchise after "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" premiered in late 2022, and she also returned for "Outer Banks" season three back in February.

While her film and television career is filled with many projects, Cline's romantic life hasn't been as busy — at least not until recently. Cline notably dated "Outer Banks" costar Chase Stokes, and their romance blossomed during the COVID-19 pandemic when they quarantined together. "We made a huge fort in the living room, so there's this true honesty to the friendship you see on screen, that is equally present off screen as well," Stokes previously told People.

When Cline and Stokes called it quits in November 2021, speculation stirred that the former was romantically linked to "13 Reasons Why" star Ross Butler and DJ Zack Bia, though these rumors were never substantiated. As Cline continues to garner much attention, here's a look back at her past romances and who the star is reportedly dating now.

Chase Stokes (2020-2021)

Cline was first linked to her "Outer Banks" costar in April 2020 when the pair were reportedly quarantining together during the COVID-19 pandemic with Drew Starkey and Rudy Pankow, per People. While speculation continued to stir in the following months, the couple didn't confirm their relationship until June 2020, when Stokes shared a picture of Cline on Instagram with the caption, "Cats outta the bag."

Throughout the remainder of 2020, the two shared pictures on Instagram to show their love for one another, and Cline herself even dished about Stokes while speaking with Entertainment Tonight in November 2021. "It's really cool. Love is tight. It's cool to share this experience with your favorite people and also your favorite person . . . I feel very happy," the actor said.

In May 2021, the lovebirds won best kiss at the MTV Movie and TV Awards and continued their relationship after the release of season two of "Outer Banks." By November 2021, however, the two appeared to split, though their relationship status would remain ambiguous until the summer of 2022 when both Cline and Stokes were rumored to be dating other people.

The former pair appear to be on good terms as they continued to work together on the third season of "Outer Banks" with no drama, according to them. "Mads and I have been working together now for 30 episodes, and we made a promise to each other before we even started dating that the work was always going to come first," Stokes explained to Entertainment Weekly in February. "And that no matter what happens in our personal lives, and the ways that life sometimes takes you in different directions, that we're always going to honor the work. That stayed 100 percent truthful this season."

He added: "Regardless of now not being together in a personal relationship, I'm still always going to be one of her biggest fans, and I'm super, super proud of all of her accomplishments inside the show and outside the show."

Pete Davidson (2023)

News about Cline's latest relationship broke on Sept. 22 when Us Weekly reported, per a source, that she's dating Pete Davidson. "They spent the night together at the Beverly Hills Hotel and then had breakfast together there the next morning," the insider shared. "They were really low-key and kept things casual, wearing baseball hats." Reps for Cline and Davidson did not respond to POPSUGAR's requests for comment.

On Oct. 15, the two were spotted out together in New York City following Davidson's hosting stint on "Saturday Night Live."

Prior to the newly reported romance, Davidson dated fellow actor Chase Sui Wonders for less than a year before their split was reported on Aug. 24. In the past, the comedian's also been linked to Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, Ariana Grande, and other stars.
